This term we have been learning about colour and painting. We have explored the colour wheel, mixing secondary and tertiary colours from primary colours. By tinting our colours with white we have developed our control of colour. Inspired by Georgia O’Keefe and her tinted painting style, we copied some of her flower images mixing and tinting our colours independently. For our final pieces we copied the style of O’Keefe’s mountains pictures and created colourful, layered mountain scenes. Our teachers were wowed by the care taken to copy the style of O’Keefe and we are all very proud of our work.
