We are a Nut Free school

At the start of the academic year 26/27, we have become a nut free school

To align with Benedict’s Law, statutory guidance introduced this academic year, we have upgraded our school allergy management procedures to ensure a safe environment for all our pupils and staff.

As part of these safety measures, all staff have completed Anaphylaxis training, and we now keep a back-up stock of emergency Adrenaline Auto-Injectors (AAIs / EpiPens) on-site.

We currently have an individual in our school community with a nut allergy and we require your immediate cooperation. Please do not send any food items into school that contain nuts.

To help us keep everyone safe, please strictly avoid packing:

  • All loose or whole nuts (e.g., peanuts, cashews, almonds, walnuts).
  • Spreads and sandwich fillings containing nuts (such as peanut butter, Nutella, or other hazelnut chocolate spreads).
  • Cereal, granola, or chocolate bars that list nuts in the ingredients.
  • Cakes, pastries, or biscuits containing nuts.

Please carefully check food labels if you are unsure about any ingredients.  If someone in your household prepares packed lunches and does not receive these emails, please ensure this message is passed on to them.
